Privacy Policy
Pleasure Mode Collective ("we," "us") publishes Smooth Operator and operates pleasuremode.xyz. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Email address, when you submit it via the sample form on the homepage or /sample. Stored in Loops.so, our email service provider.
- Usage data. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) collects aggregate page views, referrers, device type, and approximate location. Only fires after you grant analytics consent in the cookie banner. No GA4 events without consent.
- Payment data, when you buy Smooth Operator, payment is processed by Gumroad. We never see or store your full card number. We see your email, billing country, and order amount.
Why we collect it
- To deliver the free sample chapter and any follow-up emails you've consented to receive.
- To understand which pages people read and which CTAs convert, so we can improve the site.
- To process orders, deliver the PDF, and handle refunds.
Retention
- Loops contacts: kept indefinitely or until you ask us to delete you.
- GA4: 14-month retention (Google's default), then aggregated and anonymized.
- Gumroad: per Gumroad's policy, typically the lifetime of your account.
Third parties we share with
We don't sell your data. We do share it with the providers that help us run the site:
- Google Analytics, usage data (with consent only)
- Loops.so, email delivery
- Gumroad, payment processing
- ImprovMX, forwards email sent to

Your rights (GDPR Art. 15–22)
If you're in the EU, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Ask us to delete it
- Receive it in a portable format
- Object to specific uses (e.g., marketing emails)
- Withdraw consent at any time, with no effect on prior lawful processing

Right to lodge a complaint
If you think we're handling your data wrongly, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In the Czech Republic, that's the Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ).

License to the manual
When you buy Smooth Operator, we grant you a personal, non-transferable license to read it. You can read it on any device you own. You can't resell it, redistribute it, post it on torrent sites, or share the PDF with anyone outside your household.
Educational content, not advice
Smooth Operator is editorial and educational. It is not medical advice, therapy, or a substitute for either. If you have a sexual health concern, talk to a qualified clinician. We make no claims about specific outcomes for specific readers.
Refunds
Our refund policy is on its own page: Refund Policy. Short version: 14 days unconditional, longer when the book genuinely didn't deliver.
Limitation of liability
We provide the site and the manual on an as-is basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pleasure Mode Collective is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the manual or the site. Direct liability is capped at the amount you paid us, if anything.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes go to Czech courts. If you're an EU consumer, this doesn't override mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be flagged on the site. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

Cookie Policy
Cookies are small files stored in your browser by the sites you visit. They let a site remember things about you between visits.
What we use
- Strictly necessary, required for the site to work (e.g., the cookie consent record itself). Always on. No way to opt out without breaking the site.
- Analytics. Google Analytics 4 cookies (
_ga,_ga_*). Off by default. Fires only if you click "Allow" in the cookie banner. - Marketing, currently not in use. If we add Meta or LinkedIn pixels later, they'll be off by default and only fire on consent.
